How to Spend Fall at Bear Lake

by Natalie Jacobsen

Summer might get all the attention, but fall is one of the very best times to enjoy Bear Lake and the surrounding areas. The crowds thin, the air turns crisp, and the scenery is nothing short of spectacular. If you’re looking for ways to soak it in, here are some of my top fall activities:

🍁 Take a hike through the colorful trees 🍁

Limber Pine Trail (Logan Canyon): a short, family-friendly hike with sweeping views of Bear Lake framed by golden aspens.

Ricks Springs Trail (Logan Canyon): beautiful fall foliage and lots to explore.

Bloomington Lake: a short hike with a big reward and brilliant fall colors.

🚗 Scenic drives and bike rides 🚗

Drive through Logan Canyon for endless views of the canyon in full color.

Or if you want to stay in the valley, take a cruise around the lake on your bike while the weather is cool and the roads are calmer.

🎣 Cast a line 🎣
Fall is one of the best times for fishing at Bear Lake, with lots of them biting strong as the water cools!

🎃 Explore nearby towns 🎃

Head into Logan for a fall football game at Utah State or to stroll Main Street and window shop with a pumpkin spice latte in hand.
